William Squires Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Chandler Funeral Homes & Crematory - Hockessin on Mar. 28, 2026.
Willam Squires 75, of Newark, Delaware, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Willam was the son of the late William and Rita Squires born in 1950. He was one of seven siblings. Bill was very handy around the house and could fix many things. And he also had a green thumb, enjoying many varieties of house plants he had. Bill graduated from Mount Saint Mary's College to pursue his of career as an Accountant.

Bill loved sports and his favorite sport was lacrosse, which he played from middle school all the way through college. After college he played Club Lacrosse to later become a referee for DE high school boy's lacrosse, which he did for many years. He loved watching all sports, especially being a huge fan of Notre Dame football. And growing up in New York he became a big Yankees fan. Bill also loved cooking at all the BBQ's where he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Bill is survived by his wife Loren, son Michael Squires (Allie), daughter Cara Reynolds (Mike), son Kevin Squires (Megan), daughter Brianna Anderson (Matt), and stepdaughter Misty Ingram (Jay). Bill was a proud grandfather to Alexis, Parke, John, Justin, Nathan, Jimmy, Will, Penelope, Ellie, and Zoe. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
