William "Bill" A. Staab
Born April 8, 1927, and entered eternal life on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the age of 97 years. Beloved son of the late William and Jeanette Staab. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Sundra L. Stephen. Cherished oldest brother of Richard Staab, Susan Firlinger, the late Marilyn Kelber, the late Shirley Waggoner, the late Sandra John, and the late Patricia Stoltz. Bill is further survived by 18 nieces and nephews, who was lovingly touched by his presence.
Bill attended and graduated from Rufus King High School. Afterwards, he attended the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee before proudly serving his country during World War II where he served aboard the USS Leyte (CV-32) as a radar operator. Throughout his life, he pursued a career in sales including automobiles, real estate, insurance, and industrial products. Bill was a kind and generous person to everyone in his family and all that knew him. He was quick-witted and humorous, even up until the end of his life. As family was extremely important to Bill, he was the family historian, keeping track of the family history and documenting family get-togethers on home video as a young adult. Throughout Bill's life, his passion was golf and he loved fishing. He traveled to many countries and states with his dear family and friends, and he enjoyed telling stories of the past. Ever the optimist, Bill loved life and he will be missed by many.
Visitation at the Funeral Home on Friday, February 21, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Service starting at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
