William "Bill" J. Studd, III, age 48 of West Warwick, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Queens, NY, he was the son of William J. Studd, Jr. and Kathleen (White) Balsamo and the step-son of Domenica Gasbarra. Bill was the beloved husband of Jaime (Lagor) Studd for 19 years. He was the loving and devoted father of: William "Wil" J. Studd, IV, Shealyn B. Studd, and Morgan K. Studd.
Bill also leaves one sister: Staci Cannizzaro and her fiancé Gary; a half-sister: Brianne Balsamo; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Jim and Denise Lagor; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his stepfather: Salvatore Balsamo.
Bill loved music, especially the oldies, and was a gifted guitar player. He had a gift for building things with his hands. Being from Queens, he was a diehard Mets and Rangers fan. Whether it was fishing with his dad on his boat, swimming, or a trip to the beach, Bill always found great enjoyment from any sort of water. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, and he will be missed deeply by all whose lives he touched.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 11 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, May 12 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church, 854 Providence Street, West Warwick, followed by his burial at Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick. Family and friends are invited to arrive directly to church.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's memory may be sent to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, https://www.pancan.org/.
