William J. Sullivan

William J. Sullivan, aka "Bill", "Billy, "Sully", 86, of Yarmouth Port, passed away on September 26, 2025 at Cape Cod Hospital.

Bill was born to parents Timothy J. and Elizabeth (Welch) Sullivan in Boston. He was a graduate of Roslindale High School. He worked for 33 years at The Hartford Insurance Company where he worked as an Assistant Vice President of Claims in their Boston office. He was a Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus Mount Pleasant Council 98 in West Roxbury. Throughout his life, Bill lived in Dedham, Cummaquid, Cape Cod, finally settling in Yarmouth Port, Cape Cod. In September of 1979, Bill married the love of his life Stephanie A. Holt on Nantucket. Together they travelled extensively, creating memories wherever they went. They also wintered for many years in Sarasota, Fl. Bill was a "friend of Bill W." on Cape and in Sarasota and a lector at Our Lady of Hope in Barnstable for many years. Amongst traveling, Bill enjoyed playing solitaire on his computer, watching the stock market, spending time with his family and friends on Cape and in Sarasota, FL, storytelling, laughing, and helping people. He loved life and lived it to the fullest.

Bill is predeceased by his daughter Debra (Sullivan) Goffredo, his sister Patrcia "Patsy" Sullivan, and his parents Timothy and Elizabeth (Welch) Sullivan.

He is survived by his wife Stephanie. A Sullivan, his brother Tim Sullivan (Jean), his nephews Jeff Sullivan (Yuliya) and Matt Sullivan (Chandler), his niece Kelly Ledoux (Brian), his friends Ernie Margeson and Jack Nesbit, his friends who were considered "family" Lisa Geloran, Michele Pollock, Giana Pollock, Tara DeStefano, The Davis family, the Reardon family, the Better Attitudes Group in SRQ, and many many others.

A Celebration of Life will be held at later date to be announced.
