William “Bill” Taylor, 77, passed away on March 12, 2026 at the Pickering House. He was born to the late Mont and Virginia Taylor on February 5, 1949.

Bill had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. In his youth he liked playing basketball, leading to a lifelong love of sports. In his later years he looked forward to getting together with friends and playing cards.

He is survived by his sister, Alice Lutz; many nieces and nephews; and special friend who he called a sister, Molly.

Bill is preceded in death by his siblings, Lilly Bailey, Ruth Ann, Mary Ellen Claffey, George Taylor, Everet Taylor, and Mont Taylor; infant siblings, Johnny and Joanne; and parents.

A memorial service will take place on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at 6:30 PM in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N Columbus St., Lancaster, OH 43130. Family and friends may visit from 4:30 PM until the time of services. Caring Cremation® has taken place.
