William V. Torres
· April 24, 1939 - January 31, 2026
· William V. Torres was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico, and lived a life defined by faith, service, and unwavering love for his family.
· He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army before answering a higher calling. In 1966, he founded Pentecostal Christian Church in Springfield, Massachusetts, transforming a community and building a spiritual legacy that would span generations.
· A faithful servant of God, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, William led with conviction and loved with his whole heart. He had a legendary voice-at least in his own mind-and an infectious sense of humor, famously never tiring of asking for "a million dollars" with that signature grin.
· He transitioned to be with the Lord on January 31, 2026, surrounded by Valeria, his daughter Janet, and his son Benjamin.
His legacy lives on in every life he touched, every soul he shepherded, and every heart he filled with love.
