William Tozer

William Tozer, 71, of Hopewell Twp., passed away on Friday, January 30th. He was born on February 15, 1954, in Sapporo, Japan, to the late William and Kimiko Tozer. Bill grew up in a military family; living in various places where his father, a Sergeant in the U.S. Army, was stationed; including Pennsylvania, Kentucky and Hawaii.

A high school graduate, Bill built a 45-year career at Covia Corporation as a process operator. He was a dedicated and hardworking man who took pride in his work.

Bill was a lifelong sports enthusiast, who loved playing softball in local leagues in his younger years. His upbringing as an Army son fostered a deep interest in U.S. military history. He pursued physical fitness throughout his life and earned a black belt in karate. An animal lover, Bill was a devoted cat owner over the years and supported causes close to his heart, including the ASPCA and Wounded Warrior Project.

Bill was a man of quiet loyalty, devoted to his family and friends. He was immensely proud of his son Dave's career achievements as a Grammy-winning music producer and songwriter.

Bill is survived by; his son, Dave (Jessica) Tozer of New York City; and his brother, Steve Tozer. He was predeceased by; his parents; and three sisters, Peggy Orange, Kathy Fox and Lynda Adams.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 7th at 11 AM at PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield, NJ 08302. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11 AM. Interment will take place at the Overlook Cemetery, 100 Overlook Drive, Bridgeton, NJ 08302.
