William Coye Traweek, age 81, of Northport, Ala., passed away September 21, 2025 in Northport. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Bethabara Baptist Church with Bro. Larry Colburn officiating. Burial will follow in Bethabara Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel North directing. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; daughter, Denise; grandson, Josh Skelton; brothers, Norman, Kenny, and Mack; and parents, Cecil and Ilene Traweek.
Survivors include his daughter, Teresa Skelton; son, Justin Traweek (Katie); sisters, Sherry Marshall (Wallace), and Mary Edith Hamilton (David); brother-in-law, William Horton; sisters-in-law, Martha Traweek, Judy Horton, and Renee Traweek; granddaughter, Amber Horton; great-grandchildren, David Rylee Jones, and Marlee Rae Carden; son-in-law, Bucky Skelton; and a host of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Gant, Jason Guyton, Justus Kimbrell, David Condra, Paul Horton, Cody Sullivan, and John Horton.
Honorary pallbearers are Ed Files, Rhonda Carr, Kristy Watson, Rhonda Smith, Glenda Sutton, Eddie and Marie Smith, the Gant Family, Robin Montgomery, Danielle Kimbrell, Eric Murray, Jeanne Marlowe, Hospice of West Alabama, his former coon hunting buddies and dog-trading friends, coffee drinking old timers at the store, friends and neighbors of the Brownville Community.
