Mr. William Tyler ”Tye” Thomas, 70, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2025 in the South Georgia Medical Center, Valdosta, following an extended illness. Tye won his hard fought Hallelujah and entered into his heavenly home.
Mr. Thomas was born February 19, 1955 in Homerville, to the late Bessie Thomas Clark. Mr. Thomas worked at B-Way & Lee Container as a supervisor and could fix anything he wanted to because he loved to work and watch sports and westerns. He was a member of the Lighthouse Assembly of God.
Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his mother, daughter, Danette Landrum; sister: Rose Mary Benson and brothers, Robert Jackson and William Wesley Clark.
Survivors are his wife of 28 years: Patricia Lofton Thomas, Homerville; three daughters: Lashonna Mingo, Cynthia Infinger and Suzette Infinger, all of Homerville; two sons: Dewayne Thomas, McDonough, GA and J.B. “Chop” Infinger (Beth), Homerville; one sister: Karlyn Thomas, Homerville; fifteen grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services for Mr. Thomas will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at three o’clock in the Lighthouse Assembly of God with Pastor James Alexander, Sister Beth Infinger, Rev. John Browning and Rev. Donald Stalvey officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday, April 21, 2025 from 6 till 8 at the funeral home.
