Carolyn Ann Pittman Dawson

Mrs. Carolyn Ann Pittman Dawson, age 82, of Axson, Ga., passed away Monday, January 12, 2026, at her home in Axson, Ga.

Mrs. Dawson was born on February 02, 1943, in Axson, Ga. to the late Dwight M. and Juanita Wilson Pittman. She worked as a seamstress and a clerk at Boone’s Pharmacy for many years. Mrs. Dawson attended Axson Evangelistic Church and enjoyed flowers, shopping, sewing, and spending time with her family. Along with her parents, Mrs. Dawson is preceded in death by her spouse, Neal Dawson, son, Allen Dawson, grandson, Alex Dawson Pittman, and 3 brothers, Doyland, Bobby, and Jimmy Pittman.

3 Daughters: Linda Dawson of Axson, Ga.

                        Ann Odom of Axson, Ga.

                        Amy Tolle (Shannon) of Homerville, Ga.

Brother: D.Q. Pittman (Glenda) of Pearson, Ga.

2 Sisters: Shirley McKinnon of Pearson, Ga.

                   Vonita Davis (Jerome) of Axson, Ga.

Grandchildren: Jesse Pittman (Kaylan), Ashton Odom, Kara Crow, Emily Vaughn (Davey), Baylee Guess (Colby), Sadie, Harrison, and Josie Dawson.

Great Grandchildren: Oakley Pittman, Laikley Pittman, Moxley Pittman, Paxton Odom, Lucas Crow, Noah Crow, Jane Odom, Dawson Guess, Riley Guess, Emerson Vaughn, Cole Vaughn, Lainey Nell Vaughn

Special friends & caregivers: Evelyn Burns and Denise Garrett

Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Dawson were held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Axson Evangelistic Church in Axson, Ga. with Rev. Billy Lowe and Mr. D.Q. Pittman officiating. Special music included “What a Friend We Have in Jesus”, “It is Well With My Soul”, and “Old Rugged Cross” presented by Shannon Tolle and Colby Guess. The interment followed in Axson Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers were: Jesse Pittman, Ashton Odom, Johnny Simmons, Michael Peavey, Mickey Simmons, and Ashley McKinnon.

Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
