William Thomas Utsey

William Thomas Utsey, age 52, of Mableton, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 1, 2025, surrounded by family and friends after a brief illness.
A celebration of Will's life will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home, 2950 King Street, Smyrna, Georgia 30080. A reception will follow in the Celebration Center at the funeral home.
Will is survived by his wife, Jill Bourland; his brother, Gary Lee Davis (Ashley); his sister, Ashley Marie Husted (Bob); and his beloved nieces, Macie Lee Davis, Emily Marie Lord, and Annie Elizabeth Lord. He is also survived by many other cherished relatives, including aunts, cousins, and extended family.
Will spent his entire career as a dedicated athletic trainer, touching countless young lives. He held positions at numerous high schools, colleges, and NFL teams. His most cherished accomplishment was his 20+ years with the Senior Bowl, serving alongside his fellow trainers and other staff members.
Will had a fierce love of the Lord, his family and Alabama football. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Will loved his fur girls, Lillie Grace and Angel. Both were welcomed into our lives through the wonderful rescue organization Society of Humane Friends of Georgia (SOHFGA). If you feel moved to honor his memory, donations to SOHFGA would be deeply appreciated.
