William Jared Volk

  It is with great sadness that we announce William "Jared" Volk, born April 30, 1990 passed on February 2, 2023 at the age of 32.

 

He was born in Indianapolis, IN to William and Ardith Volk, where he lived the remainder of his life. He was predeceased by his father William "Bill" Volk, grandparents William and Mary Volk, grandmother Joan Beamon and grandfather Eugene Gutzmer.  

 

He is survived by his mother Ardith Volk, brother and sister in law Joel and Janell Smith, nephew and niece Brody and Piper Smith grandfather Terry Beamon and loving aunts and uncles Duane and Kathy Herman and Guy and Jo Gutzmer.

 

Jared graduated from Lawrence North High School and Ivy Tech Community College with an associates degree in business. He was in insurance sales for several years. Jared also had a strong love of music. He started playing drums at an early age and continued playing and practicing his skill throughout his entire life. He played in several bands which performed around Indianapolis. He also had success competing in many drum competitions which eventually took him to Chicago for competition and won him lots of drumming equipment.

 

Services will be held at Indiana Funeral Care in Indianapolis on February 16th. Visitation will be from 5-6pm with services from 6-7pm.
