William “Bill” Walk

He was born November 1, 1942 to Dale and Twila (Mackel) Walk in Vinco, PA. He went to be with Jesus on April 2, 2025, his and Sharon’s 58th wedding anniversary.

Bill is survived by his wife, Sharon, his sister, Carol (Rick) Speicher, his children Steven (Angela), Rachel, and Jonathan (Rebecca). He has five grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Bill graduated from Ashland College in 1965, and then Ashland Seminary in 1967. His love and support of the Eagles continued up until his passing.

Bill was a devoted man of God and served the Lord faithfully his entire life. He was ordained by the Brethren Church in 1967 and continued to preach until 2024. He loved to study Brethren history, including cataloging the Brethren Evangelist. Bill also spent many years as volunteer fireman and as a member of the Lion’s club.

Bill was a passionate fan of Pittsburgh sports, especially the Steelers. He cheered for them during the glory years in the 1970’s to the not so glorious years of today.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 11th, 2025 at 11am at the Fremont First Brethren Church, with Dale Stoffer and Ed Miller presiding. Friends and family may visit Friday morning from 10-11 am at the Brethren Church. A meal and time of fellowship with follow. Internment will be at McGormley Cemetery in Ballville Twp, following the meal.
