Elida A. O'Lalde

Elida A. O'Lalde, 91 formerly of Port Clinton, OH died Friday, March 27, 2026 at Elmwood Assisted Living, Fremont, OH under Hospice Care. She was born May 2, 1934 in McAllen, TX to the late Crecencio and Fransisca (Alverez) Alvarado. On January 17, 1953 she married Salvador O'Lalde who preceded her in death June 11, 2021. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Port Clinton.

Elida retired from Port Clinton Schools in 1992 where she worked in the High School Cafeteria. She had an incredible "green" thumb. She also loved to cook and spend precious time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family loved music, especially Mexican Tejano music, which they all participated in.

Survivors include her sons: John (Ruth Hoffman) O'Lalde and Joseph (Della) O'Lalde; grandchildren: Alex O'Lalde, Cameron (Jessica Rivera) O'Lalde, Laura (Todd) Regan, Nick Hoffman, and Jena (Luke) Seal; great-grandchildren: Emily, Harper, Sofia, Mila, Cooper, Oliver, Brody, Eliza, and Lilly. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Sal, brother Frank Alvarado, and sister Amelia Alvarado.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-630pm at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home, 1124 Fulton Street, Port Clinton, OH 43452 with Rosary to be recited at 6:30pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 beginning at 10am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 414 Madison Street, Port Clinton, OH 43452. Burial will follow at Christy Chapel Cemetery, Portage Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Elmwood Assisted Living or Heartland Hospice.
