William E. "Bill" Walker passed away peacefully Monday, July 3, at home with his loving wife Patsy by his side.  Bill was born in Mississippi October 15, 1938, to Jane and Alan Walker.  When Bill was 4, the family moved to Memphis, where Bill lived for most of his early life.  He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956-60.  After leaving the military, Bill went into the grocery business and also worked for Hart's Bakery, sold insurance and finally went into the investment business.

In 1982, he married Patsy and they shared many adventures throughout their 41 years together.  In 1983, they were transferred to New Orleans while at Dorsey & Co.

In 1984, Bill took a position of Municipal Bond Trader for Stephens, Inc. in Little Rock.  In 1992, he and Patsy opened Walker's Bar-B-Que in N. Little Rock and had a successful business until retiring in 2009.

Bill was an avid golfer, hunter, fisherman, and scuba diver. He was truly a man's man.   He loved to entertain and cook for family and friends.  Bill was a kind and loving man who loved his family and friends, but most of all he loved the Lord.  He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Little Rock and served as an Elder.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Janie Pruitt and his grandson Billy Walker-Richardson. His first wife and mother of his children, Sharon Fuller Richardson.   He leaves to cherish his memory,  wife Patsy, daughter Kippi Walker, grandson Dane Walker, granddaughter Chloe Walker, daughter Kelly Leggett, grandson Alex Leggett and 3 great grandchildren.  He also leaves his sister in law, Kay Ladd of Ft. Smith, AR, niece and nephew Brandi and Shannon Gilliaum, their children Tanner and Cade of Greenwood, Ar and Nephew and niece Jeff and Dianna Ladd and their children Reece and Knox of Ft. Smith, AR and  a host of good friends.  His great smile and sparkling blue eyes will truly be missed.

The family will host a Celebration of life memorial at 2:00 pm, Sunday, July 9 at First Presbyterian Church, 800 Scott Street, Little Rock, Ar 72202 and a reception featuring barbque to follow in the Fellowship Hall.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church or a charity of your choice.
