William Walker Obituary

William G. Walker, 90, of Wrightstown, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at the Masonic Village in Burlington.
Born and raised in Trenton, Mr. Walker was a graduate of Trenton Central High School, Class of 1953. A United States Air Force Veteran, Mr. Walker served his country with pride from 1953 until 1957. Mr. Walker worked as a Vacuum Technician for Princeton University Plasma Physics Lab (PPL) for 47 years. There he supported researchers on large-scale, advanced fusion energy projects. He and his team built the instruments and apparatus necessary for their tests.
In his free time, Mr. Walker loved to tinker in his workshop at home while listening to his records. He was a true craftsman. He was a proud man who loved nothing more than being with his family and pets.
Predeceased by his parents, William and Briget Walker; and his sisters, Judy Allen, Gloria Goldenbaum, Doris Hackett, Elizabeth Mason, Jean Cole, Anna Bresnan, and Mary Perry; he is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Ann J. (Dermody) Walker; his daughter, Kelly Erne and her husband, Glenn; his sons, William G. Walker, Jr. and his wife, Linda, Patrick Walker and his wife, Robin, and Kevin Walker; his grandchildren, Colin Erne and his wife, Lisa, Lauren Porcelli and her husband, Joe, Brendan Erne and his wife, Maggie, Patrick Walker and his wife, Chloe, Emily Walker, Kaitlyn Walker, Riley Walker, Liam Walker, Dane Walker, Amanda, Walker, Jake Walker, Bree Walker; his great grandchildren, Weston Walker and Dawson Walker; as well as many extended family members.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with Funeral Services to begin at 12:00 p.m. the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ.
Interment will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in North Hanover, New Jersey.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in William's memory to the Burlington County Animal Shelter, 35 Academy Drive, Westampton, NJ 08060.
