Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hemer-Pickerign Funeral Home - Medford on Dec. 9, 2025.
William "Bill" Arthur Weldon, 86, of, Medford, passed away at home on Saturday, December 6, 2025, under the care of Hope Hospice, surrounded by his loving family.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.

Bill was born and raised on a farm in Milan. He was born to Herman and Delores (Seigert) Weldon on April 18, 1939. He spent his young years helping his parents farm. He graduated from Abbotsford High School in 1958. After graduation he started his 45 year career at Hurd Millwork and was very proud of it. He retired in 2004. After his retirement, he enjoyed yard work, fishing, canasta, casino trips, music, garage sales; going to his grandchildren's sporting activities, and most importantly, spending time with his family. In 1959 he met the love of his life Ellen Kraus on Rib Mountain and they shared a life of 66 years together. They resided 60 of those years in Stetsonville.

Bill had a gift of spreading love and kindness to all he met. His famous words were to always "stay happy and healthy". His smile was contagious and loved making people laugh with his quirky ways. He will forever be remembered by all, especially his wife of 66 years.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Ellen Weldon; 4 daughters, Kathy (Ted) Lekie, Debra Sherman, Wendy (Todd) Geiger, and Lisa Mengel; 12 grandchildren, Jennifer Webb, Joshua Lekie, Jared Roiger, Anthony and Travis Brost, Autumn Brunner, Trevor, Trenton, and Trey Geiger, and Austin, Zachary, and Alex Mengel; 9 great-grandchildren, MaKayla Lodahl, Devon and Jessica Ludwig, Emma, Grace, and Ellie Lekie, and Jerry "J.J." Isacc, and Hank Roiger; 3 great-great-grandchildren, Hollywood and Thor Lodahl, Bryer Geiger, and another arriving in June 2026. Bill is further survived by many other family and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Delores Weldon; sister, Darlene Wendtland; grandson, Jesse Lekie; sons-in-law, Richard Brost and Keith Mengel.
