Met Bill when I first moved back to Texas from D.C., in the late 1980's. He was very helpful and kind to me. A big loss for San Antonio, and for Texas.

I knew Bill from various business events and activities in San Antonio. More recently, I would see Bill often working out in the early morning at Concord Athletic Club and then Golds Gym in Lincoln Heights. Bill was always the most positive guy and friendly person. Condolences to the family for your loss.

I can remember like it was yesterday spending the night at the Wests house on Patterson! To be there with six boys was absolutely FUN! Bill was really one of the good guys!

Bill was fondly know as Billy Boy, shortly before he left for New York he shared with me a favorite golf book (Billy Boy how appropriate). We shared many fun
times on Westover and Rio Vista growing up. Bill's wit and sarcasm will be sorely missed. Rest in peace Billy Boy.

I met Bill, along with his brothers, mom & Dad one weekend in the mid 60´s when my roommate at UT, his late brother, Cuatro and I journeyed to Rio Vista, a short distance from Austin, to see his family and enjoy parties that weekend.
Bill was successful in business, but truly remarkable as a family man and a West. I turned to Bill after Cuatro´s death to continue my connection with the West family. He will be missed by all that knew his calm, yet genuine nature along with being a true gentleman. Hope he, Cuatro and Chris are together again, reminiscing about their days bygone. I´ll miss him.

My deepest condolences. Bill and Scarlette were two of the first friends I made through Albert when I moved to San Antonio. They were like movie stars and so kind. Many great memories.
I loved how Scarlette was always so excited to see Bill. How he would light up!
