William "Will" Ray Wilson, age 66 of Eastanollee, Georgia passed away Monday, September 9, 2024.
William was born on April 6, 1958 to the late James Wilton Wilson and Edna Earl Musselwhite Wilson in Sanford, Lee County, North Carolina. He attended Broadway High School in Broadway, NC.
William was a supervisor for Fulton County, Georgia Public Works. Most of his career was spent in the construction trades. He worked on several significant structures in the southeast including NE Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. He was looking forward to retirement, fishing more and enjoying his new, very spacious workshop.
William is survived by his wife, Janet Coats Wilson of Eastanollee; daughter, Lee Ellen (Chad) Bradley of Commerce, Georgia; his sisters, Livon Wood of Sanford, NC, Judy (Louis) Chatman of Cameron, NC and Liz (Victor) Moore of Lillington, NC; brother, Wilton (Laquita) Wilson of LaGrange, Georgia; uncle, Herman Musselwhite of Sanford, NC; several nieces & nephews. He is also survived by grandchildren, Natalie Hogan and Marvin Nathan (Buddy) Hogan III along with step-daughter Melissa Gardner, step-grandchildren Rhonda, Johnathan and Joshua Newman and several step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, William was predeceased by wife, Janet Waggoner Wilson and brother, James Thomas Wilson.
Memorial Service for William Ray Wilson will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 1PM at The Episcopal Church of the Epiphany, 2089 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30307 (entrance to the parking lot is off of East Lake Drive) with inurnment to follow in the church memorial gardens.
A reception will follow in the Parish Hall.
In lieu of flowers please consider donations in memory of William Ray Wilson to Trout Unlimited (1-800-834-2419) or C.A.S.T For Kids, an organization that enriches the lives of children with special needs, supports their families, and strengthens communities through the sport of fishing (C.A.S.T. for Kids Foundation).
