William “Bill” Wise

William "Bill" Tyrone Wise, 82, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026, at Baptist Hospital, surrounded by family. He was born on March 25, 1943, in Mobile, Alabama, and later made Pensacola his lifelong home.

Bill and Shirley first met in 1961 on a blind date at Circle Lanes Bowling Alley, arranged by their best friends. It was love at first sight, and Bill went home and told his mother he had just met the girl he was going to marry. Two years later, on September 14, 1963, they were married and began a 63-year love story. Even in passing, one never went anywhere without the other. Only four days after Shirley passed away, Bill joined her in Heaven-just in time for them to celebrate Valentine's Day together. Their shared Christian values were the foundation for the kind of home they built together, shaping the legacy they created as a couple.

Bill was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose life was marked by loyalty, hard work, and a deep love for his family. His lifelong career was as a Meat Market Manager for Winn-Dixie, where he worked faithfully for 45 years. Due to health concerns, he was forced to medically retire on full disability, a difficult transition for a man who took great pride in providing for his family. He was a steady, grounding presence, someone his family could always rely on.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas O'Neil and Vallie Lee Wise, and his siblings, Dorothy Vaughn, Frank Wise, and Betty Robinson.

He is survived by his three children, Pamela Hindman (John McClellan), Linda Pitts Brigman (MP Brigman III), and Wes Wise (Brigette Wise); five grandchildren, Eric Clark (Rachel), Colton Brewton (Ashley Brewton), Colin Clark (Anna), Tamara Wise Davis (Joseph Davis), and Logan Wise (Kelly Wise); and one great-granddaughter, Scout Brewton, with a second great-grandchild on the way.
