MOWEAQUA - William "Bill" G. Wiseman, 87, of Moweaqua, died December 24, 2025 in Shelbyville Manor, Shelbyville, Ill.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2025 in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua, with a visitation from 12 to 2 p.m., prior to service time. Burial, with full military honors, will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Moweaqua. Memorials may be made to American Legion Post #370.

Bill was born on September 25, 1938 in Decatur, Ill., the son of Gerald and Helen (Davis) Wiseman. He married Linda L. Rambo on September 28, 1957 in Macon, Ill. She preceded him in death on August 18, 2025.

Bill was a member of First Christian Church of Moweaqua, American Legion Post #370, Moweaqua Masonic Lodge # 180 and served as a Shriner. He was a proud member of the United States Marine Corp and served his community by volunteering at the Food Pantry, preparing funeral dinners through his church and supporting youth activities such as bowling, baseball and softball. Bill was retired from many years of employment with Caterpillar.

Surviving are his sons: Kevin (Debbie) Wiseman and Gerald (Lisa) Wiseman, all of Moweaqua, Ill.; daughter, Lucinda "Cindy" (Dennis) Linton of Macon, Ill.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and brother, James (Connie) Wiseman of Madison, Miss.

Preceding him in death are his wife, Linda; parents; and grandson, Steven.
