Lorrene Mae Wiseman

Lorrene Mae (McMillion) Wiseman, age 85, of Navarre, Florida, went to be with the Lord on January 10, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on April 5, 1940, in Renick, West Virginia, Lorrene was the daughter of Earnest L. McMillion and Lillie Mae (Cochran) McMillion. From a young age, she was known for being loving, caring, and incredibly hardworking-traits she carried with her throughout her life as she brought love and joy to her family and friends.

Lorrene spent her youth in Renick, West Virginia, and later moved to Tampa, Florida, after marrying Lacey Wiseman at the age of eighteen. While living in Tampa, she worked full time for Aetna Insurance Company while raising her three children. After retiring from Aetna at age sixty-five, she continued working as a reservationist for Hilton Hotels, where she remained until the age of eighty.

Lorrene was a devoted mother to her three children, Cindy Gilmore, James Wiseman, and Lewis Wiseman. She also deeply loved and cherished her two grandchildren, Matthew Gilmore and Nicole Gilmore, with whom she spent as much time as possible.

Lorrene embraced life's simple pleasures with great enthusiasm. She loved spending time with her seven brothers and sisters, her children and grandchildren, and her beloved animals. She enjoyed shopping, going to the beach or the lake, watching movies and her favorite television shows, cooking and baking, camping in the mountains, dancing, socializing with friends, and creating lasting memories with those she loved.

Her passing has left a tremendous void in the lives of her family and friends, but her legacy lives on in our hearts. She will always be remembered as one of the hardest-working, most loving, and caring people we have ever known. Godspeed, Granny.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Westwood Nursing and Rehabilitation and Emerald Coast Hospice for the compassionate care they provided during the final months of her life.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, February 12, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Home in Navarre, Florida, with Rev. Mike Poston officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to the ASPCA or the American Red Cross.
