William Wobosel Obituary

William L. Wobosel

Allouez - William L. Wobosel, age 86, Green Bay, died Sunday, January 17, 2021. He was born November 27, 1934 in De Pere to the late William J. and Herbedette (Roffers) Wobosel. William served his country in the U. S. Navy from 1955 until 1957. On November 27, 1958, he married the love of his life, Mary Vandenberg, at St. Willebrord Catholic Church in Green Bay. He was employed as a superintendent at Nicolet Paper Company, retiring in 1997 after 39 years of employment. He was a member of the Nicolet Quarter Century Club.

He loved to travel, enjoyed bowling, dancing, cooking, and fishing at his cottage at Pickerel Lake. He owned Bill's Sinclair Service Station in Green Bay.

He could build, create or fix anything. He was talented in woodworking, carpentry, mechanics, house building and welding. He had a passion for cooking and was an excellent scratch cook.

Bill was a devoted husband and loved all of his family deeply. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and leader. Bill was a very generous, kind and giving person, always thinking of others before himself.

He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He brought sunshine and laughter through his kind words and subtle sense of humor.

He is survived by his son, Benedict Wobosel, Green Bay; two daughters, Carolyn (Lee) Johnson, Eau Claire and Sarah (William) Pelishek, De Pere; and five grandchildren, Sam Johnson, Mitchell Johnson, Alex Pelishek, (fiance, Mariah Seiltz), Andrew Pelishek and Jared Pelishek.

William is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary, his son, Joseph and his brother and wife, James and Mae Wobosel, Milwaukee.

Private funeral services will be held at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church. Burial of his cremated remains will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in De Pere. Expressions of sympathy, memories and photos may be shared with William's family on his tribute page at www.lyndahl.com

Bill's family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Allouez Parkside Village and Heartland Hospice for their tender care and compassion shown to him over the past several years.
