William Eugene Wright, (Butch, Bill), 81, of Thornton, Colorado left us peacefully on August 19, 2025. He was at home with family. Born on January 11, 1944, in Colorado, Bill was the oldest child of Eileen and Jack Wright. He was older brother to Terri Smalley and Bob Wright. Bill joined the Marines in April 1961, at the age of 17, he was stationed in 29 Palms, California and served in Japan and Vietnam. Bill attained his GED and attended college at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City. He lived a very full life from beginning to end. A Jack of all trades, he pursued his hearts desires in varied career choices, from raising and training horses to owning a boat shop, a pawn shop and a gun store. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and stepson CJ Carden. Bill is survived by partner Lani Wright, daughters Jacki Wright, Tammy Ness, Lynn Wright, and stepson Todd Hill, 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A celebration of life memorial service will be held Sunday, October 12 at 3:30 pm, at Cherry Park Pavilion, 11500 Birch Drive, Thornton, CO. A BBQ reception will follow the service. (In the event of inclement weather, please contact Tammy at 303-263-2587 for alternate location) In lieu of flowers the family asks that if you remember Bill with a donation to the Alzheimer's Association at https://donorservices.alz.org/
