William Yaremchuk was born on September 21, 1951, in Toronto, Canada, to Stefan Jaremchuk and Paraskewia Usztan. He passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025, after a brief illness, entering into the presence of the Lord.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Susan Sandiford. He is survived by his beloved wife, Pamela (Tavs) Greene; his sister and two nephews in Canada; three stepchildren: Derek (Ruth) Greene, Dana (Randy) Barr, and Drew (Brit) Greene; and five step-grandchildren.
William spent several years living in Banff, Alberta, before moving to the United States in 1992 with his wife, Su. He proudly became a U.S. citizen in 2000.
Professionally, William had a distinguished career as a research and development engineer at Intel. He also served as a flight nurse and paramedic at OHSU (Oregon Health & Science University), where he found particular joy in assisting in the NICU during his downtime. His compassion and technical skills made a lasting impact in both fields.
William loved the Lord and deeply cherished his wife, his dogs, and the outdoors-especially boating, fishing, and working in his yard. Known for his love of organization, he believed in labeling everything and always having a backup item and plan. He also had a passion for travel, and he and Pam enjoyed exploring the world together in recent years.
Those who knew William remember him as kind-hearted, dependable, and always willing to lend a hand.
A memorial service will be held at Lillian Fellowship, 11737 Highway 99, Lillian, on August 23, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a fellowship gathering at noon at a private residence.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, an organization close to the family's heart.
