William Wayne Yow, 53, of Asheboro, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Randolph Health in Asheboro.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 28, 2024, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Grant Taylor and Pastor Ben Chavis officiating.
Wayne was born on November 11, 1970, in Randolph County, the son of the late Everett William Yow and Odessa Wilkerson Yow. He loved drag racing and was a member of the Allred Racing Team. He also loved fishing, going to the beach and going to bike rallies. He enjoyed collecting guns, playing pool and and playing video games. He was an avid fan of both Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Jr. He loved and lived for his friends.
He is survived by his sisters, Gail Hollis of KY, Sheila Allred Blackburn (Jay) of Asheboro; brothers, Michael Allred of Asheboro, Buddy Allred (Darla) of Randleman, Bobby Blakenship (Victoria) of Asheboro, Allen Vance (Hali) of Sophia, Mike Leonard of Greensboro, Mike Owens of Franklinville; nieces, Brittany, Tiffany, Kyerstin, Chelsea, Little Peggy; nephews, Caleb, Brenn, Brody, Lane, Mason; great niece, Bailey; and great nephews, Lane, Grayson Myles.
The family will receive friends from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m., Friday, prior to the service at Ridge Funeral Home, and other times at the home.
Memorials may be made to Cone Health Cancer Center at Asheboro Patient Assistance Fund, P.O. Box 1048, Asheboro, NC 27204.
