Mrs. Willie Brown Adams age 89 of Smithville, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday morning, September 3, 2025, at NHC HealthCare in Smithville. She was born March 17, 1936, to her parents, the late Jeff Brown and Willie Evelyn Herndon Crips. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Brownie Adams and daughter-in-law, Debbie Adams; father-in-law and mother-in-law, T.B. and Dorothy Adams. She worked as a secretary and teacher's aide in the DeKalb County School System and was a member of the Mt. Pisgah Freewill Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Mark (Karen) Adams of Smithville and Mike Adams of Cookeville; two daughters, Vicky (Randall) Duke and Veronica (John) Pack both of Smithville; grandchildren, Amanda (Scott) Goodwin, Jennifer Adams, Marla (Jim) Beshearse, Justin (Felicia) Duke, Brooke (Drew) Hutton, Megan (Joseph) Carroll, Jared (Sydney) Adams, and Mykaela (Riley) Young; great-grandchildren, Cooper and Kiptyn Goodwin, Carsyn and Cate Beshearse, Alexis Nicole, Allie Violet and Avery Lynn Carroll, Kiah Bear and Olive Jude Young, Florence Ruth and Nola Jewell Adams. Funeral services will be 2 PM Friday, September 5, 2025, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with her son, Bro. Mike Adams officiating and burial will follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday 1 PM until 8 PM and Friday 9 AM until the time of the service at 2 PM. In addition to flowers, the family ask that donations be made to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or DeKalb Animal Coalition. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Adams family.
