Willie Britt Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Richardson Hill Funeral Home - Texarkana on Feb. 20, 2026.
Willie was a man of faith, strength, and compassion. Born to Willie A. Britt and Beulah (McFadden) Britt on March 20, 1952, he was educated at Wood Street High School (formerly Little River Training School) in Ashdown, Arkansas. He later continued his studies at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, and UEI Electronics in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Willie worked faithfully throughout his life, serving with Entergy Electric (formerly APL Electric Company) in Little Rock, Arkansas; Domtar Ashdown Mill (formerly Nekoosa Edwards Paper Mill) Ashdown, Arkansas; and Tyson Foods Inc. Hope, Arkansas. His intelligence, work ethic, and reliability were evident in every position he held.

A devoted believer, Willie loved the Lord and shared God's Word boldly as a Sunday School teacher and deacon. He encouraged others with honesty, wisdom, and a heart for ministry. He never hesitated to share his thoughts-right or wrong-and he was known for his strong opinions.

Willie enjoyed fishing-especially from his boat-cooking (he was a great cook who loved food and had a healthy appetite), reading, watching football, and caring for animals. He was known to feed any stray animals that crossed his path. Smart, hardworking, and full of personality, he lived as a man loved by God and created in God's image.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ossie Neal.

He is survived by his sister, Carrie Swain; A special niece, Altha Britt, his other nieces and nephews who loved him dearly; his lifelong friend, Sherman Hopkins and a host of other family and friends .

Willie's life was a blessing, and his memory will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
