Willie James Clay, Jr., 63, was born on October 24, 1962, in Aberdeen, Monroe County, Mississippi, and he peacefully passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. He was a beloved son, brother, and friend, and his warm spirit touched the lives of many.

Willie's legacy will continue through his devoted family members. He is survived by his father, Willie James Clay, Sr.; his brothers, James Earl Clay and David Clay; and his sisters, Frances C. Thomas and Annie L. Clay. Each of them cherished their bond with Willie, who will be remembered for his kindness and positive spirit.

Willie was preceded in death by his mother, Annie C. Hogan - Clay, whose influence shaped his character and values throughout his life.

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Belle Memorial Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life honoring Willie's memory will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Belle Memorial Funeral Home located at 216 Hwy 25 South, PO Box 129, Aberdeen, MS 39730. The service will begin at 11:00 AM.

As family and friends gather to celebrate the life of Willie James Clay, Jr., they will undoubtedly reflect on the countless memories that he created during his time with them. His presence will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
