On January 12, 1937, Willie Mae Copeland was born in Cordele, Georgia to Mr. and Mrs. William and Mary Lou Roberts, Sr. She was the first of eight children. Her family moved to Jacksonville, FL and settled in the LaVilla neighborhood. Willie Mae dedicated her life to her family where she raised five children: one beautiful, loving daughter, Anita, and four caring

sons, Vincent, Anthony, Carl, and Kerry.

Willie Mae worked side-by-side with her loving husband Frank on many jobs. She later discovered her passion was in elderly caregiving, where she provided in-home healthcare. Willie Mae also had an incredible love for fashion, animals and plants. She was baptized into the Northside Church of Christ and served on different Ministries within the church, in support of her husband, Deacon, Frank James Copeland. They were both lovers of hospitality, and opened their home to many for food and fellowship. She was also an outstanding cook, and as they say, Willie Mae could really rattle those pots.

At the end of her journey, Willie Mae lived a fabulous 88 years of life, and will be honored for a heart that gave freely. She will be forever missed and forever remembered as a Christian, wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and godmother.

Willie Mae was preceded in death by her loving husband, Deacon, Frank James Copeland; her sons, Vincent Leroy (Paula) Myrick, Carl Edwin (Stacy) Myrick; her parents, Mr. and Mrs William Roberts, Sr.; her sister, Louise (Hamp) Risher; and her brothers, William (Annie) Roberts, Jr., James Roberts, Lester Roberts, and Joe Louis (Gwen) Roberts.

Left to cherish her blessed memories are her daughter, Anita Ann Myrick, sons Anthony (Angela) Myrick, Sr, and Kerry (Wanda) Myrick, granddaughters Melissa Myrick, Ker'Shyra Myrick, and Micourtier Myrick; grandsons Anthony Myrick, Jr., Michael Myrick, Sr., and Maurice Myrick, 10 great-grands, sister Catherine Roberts, brother Earl Roberts and goddaughter Linda Smith, extended family (late) Elder, Willie Temple, Jr. (LaVonne), Donna Brown, Dr. KenJula Brown, Kammeron Brown, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, friends, and Northside Church of Christ Family.
