Willie Mae "Staley" Henderson

Willie Mae (Staley) Henderson passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025, in Jacksboro, Texas, at 93 years old. She was born on October 3, 1932, in Clay County, Texas, to Willie E. Staley and Ruthie Mae (Spradling) Staley.

Mae married William David "Dub" Henderson on February 9, 1948, in Jacksboro. Together, they made their home there and raised their two children, Roger and Diana. She was a member of the 1st Assembly of God and found great joy in quilting, spending many peaceful hours creating treasured gifts for the people she loved. Family was always at the center of Mae's life-she was happiest when surrounded by her loved ones, and her warmth, guidance, and steady presence meant the world to them.

Mae spent many years working as the office manager at G&H Butane, where she kept things running smoothly and made everyone feel welcome. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Mae is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her two brothers, Royce and Jerry.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Roger Henderson and wife Patsy, and Diana Riddle and husband Jimmy; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren, along with many extended family members and friends.

The family held a private graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery in Jacksboro, Texas.
