Willie Lee Hines II. age 74. Sunrise December 2, 1949 and Sunset October 18, 2024. Will (Sonny/Babe Brother in the South) was born to the late Wille Lee Sr., and Ceola Hines in Birmingham, Alabama. 

After graduating from Linden McKinley High School in 1969, Will enlisted in the United States Marines Corps, where he proudly served for more than 13 years as a Military Police (MP) in seven locations around the world. During this period, Will’s dedication and professionalism garnered him multiple specialized military training accomplishments, and a degree in Hotel Management from Bliss College. Upon receiving an honorable discharge, he worked at The Ohio State University (OSU) Medical Clinic, where he served as Traffic Manager prior to retiring after 20 years of patient care. In addition to his proud sense of service to country and zeal for education, Will loved his family. As a devoted Son/Brother/Husband/Father/Grandfather, he was loving, intentional, and focused. He was an active and steadfast force in the lives of his siblings, children, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren, constantly encouraging them to excel personally and professionally through academics, athletics, service, and stewardship. He was a dedicated member of Deliverance Church of God Apostolic, Inc. Columbus, Ohio.

Will was preceded in glory by his devoted wife of 30 years Eddie Clark-Hines, sister and confidant Amelia “Tina” Hines, charismatic and family-oriented nephew Shawn Hines, and loving parents Willie Lee Hines I. and Ceola Hines. Will leaves to cherish his memory his sister Caroletta Hines, brother Michael (Leanne) Hines, children Willie L. Hines III, Wetzel “Tony“ Hines, Danielle Hines, Warren (LaJaiah) Hines, LaTisha (Gary) Lewis, DeShawn Smith, Da’Shaun Smith, twenty-one grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren, nephews Laureese (Kanika) Hines, Michael (Andrea) Hines II, Nigel A. Hines, niece Gabrielle C. Hines, uncle David (Cloe) Washington and aunt Shirley Davis, brother-in-law JR Harrison, sister-in-law Earnestine Croomes and a host of family and friends that he loved dearly.
