Willie Earlene Howard

Earlene Howard, 87, passed away March 28, 2026, at her home in Allen, OK. She was born on September 7, 1938 in Gerty, OK to Hoyt and Senna Miller. Services will be held Tuesday, March 31 at 2:00pm at Richmond Avenue Free Will Baptist Church of Allen with burial at Allen Cemetery. Reverend Bobby Briggs with be officiating. Viewing will be at the Allen Criswell Chapel on Monday, March 30, between 4:00pm and 7:00pm.

Survivors include sisters, Phyllis Jullian, Lynda Solder, and Sherry Snell; brothers, Glen Miller, Ron Miller, and Larry Miller; daughters, Kathy Nichols & husband Roy of Wagner, OK, Mike Howard & wife Debra of Allen, OK, Gary Howard & wife Glenda of Allen, OK, and Kay Heck & husband Rick of Allen, OK; grandchildren, Julie Porter & Don of Catoosa, Jeff Nichols & Stephany of Tulsa, Chris Howard & Kierra of Allen, Larry Howard of Allen, Chad Goodson & Keisha of Allen, Cole Goodson & Amber of Allen, Kayla Dupler of Elgin, Hannah Elliot & Easton of Allen; great grandchildren, Colyn Porter & Hannah, Bailey Porter and Alicia, Keegan Porter & Molly, Gentry Porter, Larkin Porter, Beckham Porter, Zayne Porter, Tagus Howard, Keithon Howard, Maycee Howard, Malloree Howard, Maebree Howard, Brogen Goodson, Khloe Goodson, Eden Goodson, Kannyn Elliott, Kylar Elliott, Ace & Everett Duplar; great-great grandchildren, Holden Porter, Nolan Porter, & one due in July.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jamie Howard; and sisters, Wilma Dean Hammer, Katie West, Wanda Lee Wright, and Betty Payne.

Earlene’s life was a beautiful reflection of her deep love for both family and friends. She found her greatest joy in gathering loved ones around her table, where laughter, home-cooked meals, and lively games of canasta created cherished memories for all who attended. Her home was always open, and everyone who walked through her door felt welcomed and cared for. She had a special love for the outdoors, often spending peaceful moments planting flowers and tending to her yard, where she delighted in watching her beloved hummingbirds. These simple joys brought her great happiness and reflected her gentle, nurturing spirit. Earlene was especially devoted to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she adored beyond measure. She lovingly spoiled them while also surrounding them with unwavering affection and warmth. Known affectionately as “Nanny E,” she was more than just a grandmother—she was a trusted friend, a source of comfort, and a guiding light to all who knew her. Her kindness, generosity, and loving heart left a lasting impression on everyone blessed to be part of her life.
