Stephen Michael Howard Sr.

Stephen Michael Howard, 85 of Ringgold Georgia departed this life on Friday, March 27, 2026. He worked at Combustion Engineering for 34 years and retired from there in 1999.

He was affectionately known as "Bud" to many people. He loved sports, especially Georgia football. He excelled in basketball and football in high school and he coached many players throughout the years.

Steve and his wife, Ann spent 12 years traveling together after retiring. They traveled across the United States from the East coast to the West coast.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Howard and Ethel Howard, along with his siblings, Charlene Miller.

Steve is survived by his loving wife and faithful caregiver of 64 years, Elizabeth Ann Howard, son Stephen (Debbie) Howard Jr., grandchildren Nicole (Jonah) Coppock and Stephen Howard III, great grandchildren Ethan Young, Braydon Blevins, and sister Wanda Foreman.

Visitation is from 2:00 pm to 5:00 PM on Wednesday, April 1,2026 at Lane Funeral Home and Crematory in Rossville, Georgia.
