Willie Carolyn Dennis was born in May of 1949 in Goudeau, LA to her proud parents, Louise and Dave Jackson. She received Christ at a young age and was an active member of Zion Travelers Baptist Church and Antioch Baptist Church during her childhood and formative years. She was a member of One Family at Bethel's Church at the time of her passing.

Willie was a proud graduate of Carver High School in Bunkie, LA, class of 1967. After a whirlwind courtship, Willie was united in marriage to R. C. (Clinell) Dennis in December of 1967 and they began their lives together in Port Arthur, TX. Willie and Clinell were blessed with two wonderful sons, Anthony Tyrone and Jerome Lavon. In 2003 they were overjoyed when they were blessed with their granddaughter, Amaya.

Willie enjoyed her job duties while working at the Texaco Refinery in Port Arthur. She was blessed later to work as a babysitter, and she became lifelong friends with those families in Port Arthur area. She felt like part of their family and those bonds continued until her passing.

She leaves behind the broken hearts of her sons, Anthony and Jerome (Stella) and her granddaughter Amaya. Also mourning her loss with shattered hearts are her four younger sisters – Patsy, Shirley, Penny and Dot. Her passing is also felt in the hearts of her two aunts, Annie Lou Ford and Hilda Lloyd of Goudeau and her uncle, L. C Jackson of Houston. There is a trail of sadness in the hearts of her nieces, nephews, Godchildren, cousins, friends and neighbors.

Funeral services will be held at the Antioch Baptist Church in Goudeau, LA.
