Willie G. Johnson aka Bro-Boy of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family under the care of his family and Niagara Hospice.
Willie was born in Greenville, AL, on November 4, 1939, a son of the late Loma Johnson and Raymond Bedgood, one of eight children and was a faithful member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Mr. Johnson moved to Niagara Falls in 1958 and worked with various businesses, mainly Speedy Car Wash in the area before becoming a Crane Operator at Airco Speer for 37 years, then retiring in 2001.
He became a member of the New Jerusalem Revival Center under the leadership of the late Bishop Euriah Colvin.
Mr. Johnson enjoyed his time at the Men's Social Club "Shoe Shine", playing cards, dominos, the numbers, taking road trips to Alabama in his Van with about ten people or more and watching sports.
He is survived by his children; Jeffrey (Vicki) Elder (Niagara County Legislature-4th District), Katrina (late Carl) Bradberry, Pamela and Sabrina Johnson, two sisters, Jaunita (late Frank) Agee and Irene (late Don Earl) Wilson, also 10 grands and 13 great grands, MANY, MANY nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
He was the brother of the late Roy Lee (late Georgia), James William, (late Ethel Mae) and Robert Lee, Lucille Johnson and late Cora & Cecil Harris, he was the husband of the late Annie Rivers-Johnson.
His family will be present on Saturday from 11-12 PM for the Wake at New Jerusalem Revival Center, 2723 20th Street, Niagara Falls, NY, followed by a Home Going service at 12:00 PM. Repast following the service, location will be provided.
