Willie Kitchens Obituary
Funeral service for Willie Leon Kitchens, age 83, of West Tawakoni will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Peters Funeral Home in Greenville with Charlie Mullen officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Rusty Kitchens, Eric Fisk, Jr., Matthew Fisk, Tyler Hanes, Tim Hayes, and Joe Kidd Kitchens. Visitation will be held the hour before the service. Mr. Kitchens passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at his home.
Willie was born on May 27, 1940 in Dallas, TX to William Elijah Kitchens and Erma Dean (McCarter) Kitchens. He married Virginia Ann Hayes on July 11, 1968. They celebrated 55 years together this year.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Ann Kitchens; siblings, Linda Bolin, Dorothy Richman, Bonita Laws, Albert Kitchens, Vicki McCarter Potts; children, Bobby Lee Kitchens, Jr. and wife, Patti, Dollie Kitchens Fisk and husband, Eric, Cindi McCarthy Old and husband, Ronnie; daughter-in-law, Diane Kitchens; grandchildren, Peggie Sue Kitchens, Christopher Lynn Kitchens, Rusty Leon Kitchens, Eric Fisk, Jr., Matthew Tyler Fisk, Tyler Garrison Hanes; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Renea Kitchens, Avery Gossett, Rylie Gossett, and twins Corbin Justus McCrorey Kitchens and Colten Wayne McCrorey Kitchens; great-great-grandchild, Juna Gayle Anderson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Rachel Ann Phelps, Bobby Lee Kitchens, Sr., Billy Wayne McCarter, Billy Dean Kitchens, William Joseph Kitchens, and Marion Elijah Kitchens; son, Michael Leon Kitchens.
