Willie Lee Proctor Sr.

Funeral service for Willie Proctor Sr., 98, of Grandfield, OK will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 10, 2025 at Grandfield First Baptist Church, 101 3rd Street, Grandfield, OK, 73546.

Burial will follow at Grandfield Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Gray Funeral Home.

Viewing and visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at the funeral home.

Mr. Proctor passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025 in Lawton, OK.

Willie was born on April 27, 1927 in Chandler, OK to Louis and Luella (Lennox) Proctor. His family moved to Chickasha, OK when he was young and graduated from Lincoln High School. He was a dedicated worker and held many jobs including working at a car dealership after high school, corrections center driver in Frederick, OK, waste management for the City of Grandfield for 30 years, and farm hand, a job he loved and held until his retirement at the age of 82. Willie married Frankie Mae Abraham and to this union five children were added. Mr. Proctor enjoyed going to the casino, hunting rabbits with the Greyhound Club, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all that loved him.

He is survived by his children, Tony Proctor, Alfred Proctor, Willie Proctor, Jr., Jason Proctor, Angel McCowan, Tracy Proctor, Patricia Proctor, Angela Proctor, Vicky Melvin, Jackie Melvin, and Mitize Melvin; his 27 grandchildren; his 17 great grandchildren; and many other loving family members and friends.

Willie is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 42 years, Frankie Mae Proctor; his granddaughter; and his siblings.
