Willie Raymond

On Thursday, October 16, 2025, Willie Raymond of Hankamer, TX; was visited by the Angel of Death at his home while surrounded by his family.

Services are Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, at Sunlight Baptist Church 1016 Speights Rd. Hankamer, TX. Visitation will begin at 11AM until Funeral at 1PM. Interment will be in Richardson Cemetery Hankamer, TX.

The sun rose in Hankamer, Texas on July 27, 1950, bringing with it a new day and a new life, Willie James Raymond was born to the late Harry James Raymond and Martha Lee Raymond.

His formal childhood years were spent in Hankamer, Texas where he attended the local public schools.

He was later united in Holy Matrimony to the late Fannie Marie Raymond and to this union four children were born.

He worked for Chambers County Road and Bridge for 25years. He later retired on July 27, 2000.

He spent his years enjoying mowing the grass, hanging out with family and friends, talking plenty of mess, barbecuing and watching his favorite team "The Dallas Cowboys".

He will be joined in the afterlife by his loved ones that went before him, his mother and father, wife, two sisters Loraine North and Sue Mary Foster, three brothers: Famous James Raymond, James Raymond Sr and Walter Raymond Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memories, older sister Elerene Anderson, five Children: Harry (Leaheba) Raymond, Martha (Jerrell) Smith, Keitera (late Robert) Thompson, Sholanda (Benjamin) Richardson and his special beloved son Phillip Raymond; Grandchildren: Nicketha Jones, Donte Raymond, Dominique Speights, JeMicheal Smith, Krystal Williams, Ja'Maya Kirkwood, Edward Gallow, Shadrach Raymond, Bryson Philips and Rocky Richardson. 10- Great grandchildren, and 4- great great grandchildren, 4- special grandkids: Rickey and David Coates, Cody Johnson and Wyatt Raymond; 2- special nephews; Walter Raymond, Jr. and Rex Lewis Sr.; 7- special nieces: Camila Royton Williams, Paula, Linda, Cassandra, Satera, Deltra, Jackie; 5- special friends: Lindsey, Vernon, Albert, Gilbert, Darnell and a host of other family members, relatives , friends and loved ones.
