Willie Faye Staten Richardson departed from mortal to immortal at 10:52 am, Thursday, July 20, 2023. She was the 13th child born to the late Rev. Joseph Emanuel Staten and the late Lula McDonald Staten. She was born in
Hilliard, FL and joined Hisbon Baptist Church, and was baptized by Rev. Singletary at the age of seven. After the death of her father, the family relocated to
Jacksonville, FL where she united with Mt. Ararat Baptist Church. The family relocated to Fernandina Beach in 1947, where she attended Peck High School and met the love of her life, Joseph Richardson, Sr. who proceeded her in death.
Mother Richardson joined First Missionary Baptist Church where she served diligently in numerous capacities. She and her husband were two of the founding members of the Gospel Chorus. She served with the Missionary Board, Pastor's/Pulpit Aid Boards, and Sunday School. Her civic duties were also plentiful and included the founding of the Jolly Jingles Savings Club, Elks Lodge, and The American Legion, Singing with the Melodious One's Gospel Singers.
She and Joseph married in 1948 and were together for 64 years when God called him home. To this union, four children were born. Edith R. Brown,

The Lord blessed Mother Richardson with 14 years of five generations.

Tampa, FL; Desmond (Charolette) Brown, Valliant, OK; Geri Brown, Atlanta, GA; J. Eric Brown,
Fernandina Beach, FL; Derrick Brown,
Houston, TX; Brian (Nicole) Hooper,
Fernandina Beach, FL; Sylvia Johnson, Fernandina Beach; Rachel Mack, Augusta, GA; Robert Mack, III, Jonesboro, GA; Ryan Mack, Jonesboro, GA; Althia Gillespie (Marc),
Middleburg, FL; Joseph Richardson, III,
West Palm Beach, FL; 16 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. One sister-in-law, Mildred Staten,
Fernandina Beach, FL; and, a host of new friends she gained during her stay at Fernandina Beach Nursing Rehabilitation Center whom we will never forget!
