Willie Mae Poppell Sasser, 99, of Concord, Florida passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at her home in Concord, Florida. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Faith Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Bill Barber officiating the service. The interment will follow the service at Woodland Cemetery in Havana. The Pallbearers include Ralph Porter, Jordan Sasser, Rucker Sasser, Terry Shuler, Butch Porter and Jeff Arnold. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.Mrs. Sasser was born on October 9, 1924 in Gadsden County, Florida, the daughter of the late Jordan Poppell and the late Mary Frances Poston Poppell. She married J. M. Sasser on December 7, 1941 in Quincy, FL. She retired from the State of Florida, Department Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. She was a lifetime member of Concordia Baptist Church, where her father helped build the church. Mrs. Sasser is survived by her daughters Barbara Shuler; Sandra Beach (husband David); Janet Porter (husband Ralph) and son Mike Sasser (wife Mary Alice). Her grandchildren Terry Shuler; Susan Arnold (husband Jeff); Rick Sammons (wife Deborah); Butch Porter (wife Kim); Gina Porter (husband Bobby); Arien Marshburn (husband Jamie); Jordan Sasser (wife Renee); and Rucker Sasser (fiancé Dee). She is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Linda Sasser and her husband J.M.
