Scott: A Service honoring the Life and Legacy of Mr. Willie James Scott of Fayetteville, Georgia who passed January 14, 2026 will be held Saturday, January 24, 2026, 11:00 a.m. at Legacy Funeral Home Chapel, 8968 Fayetteville Road Jonesboro, Georgia; Bishop Albert J. Lindsey, Officiant and Eulogist. Interment, Camp Memorial Park. Viewing will be held Friday, January 23, 2026 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Survivors are his wife, Yvonne Scott; children, Cassandra (Vasin) Scott Douglas, Micah (Quenisa) Scott, and Marcus (Janny) Scott; grandchildren, Micah Jaylond Scott, Vasin James, Scott Douglas, D'Sean Jones, Allanah Douglas, Lailah Douglas, Camden Scott, Khari Douglas, and Amira Douglas; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the chapel at 10:30 a.m. A repast will be held at 1:00 p.m. at This Is It Banquet Hall, 105 McIntosh Crossing Fayetteville, Georgia.

I'm saddened to hear about the loss of Mr. Scott, he was a great leader and visionary. I express my sincere sympathy to his family. Mr. Scott truly protected and defended the USP Atlanta Staff in the mid 90's. His expertise, leadership and guidance were an inspiration to us all and leaders arriving after suffered immensely from comparison. I will pray for God to strengthen his family and friends as they face the difficult days and weeks ahead without him. I will always be grateful for his strength, courage and superior Leadership.
