On Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at 1:43am, Willie James Tiller, Sr. was called home to be with the Lord. Willie was born in Headland, Alabama on April 5, 1950.

He was educated in the Volusia County School System. He graduated from Campbell High School (Centipedes) in 1969, where he was an outstanding football player. Willie only had one job; he worked for Greyhound Bus System as a driver. It was a job he loved, and he was well loved and respected by his supervisors and colleagues. He was able to travel both domestically and internationally until his retirement.

Willie was known for his charismatic personality and his love for people and family. He was a smooth dresser, and he always had his Bluetooth in his ear, engaged in deep conversation. If you were listening, he was talking. He loved working in his yard and cleaning his favorite 1983 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer. He was a die-hard Miami Dolphins Fan.

Willie was the eleventh child born to the late Morty and Rosa Bell Tiller. He was preceded in death by his one son, Willie James Tiller, Jr. "Billy"; four brothers, Johnnie James Tiller, Johnnie C. Tiller, Robert Earl Tiller and Jessie James Tiller "Doolie"; and four sisters, Robbie Lee Cooper, Eva Lee Thompson, Lillie Mae Garnett and Minnie Mae Todd.

Willie leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of fifty years, Beatrice Peggy Tiller; six children, Willie "Tony" Wesley, Lakeisha Little (Manny), Wilshawn J. Tiller (Kira), Rayshawn Tiller, Sr. (Edlesha), Nykeba Dallas (Demetrius) and Marlon Tiller; twenty grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one brother, Jesie Tiller (Lise'); best friend, Cleo "Bubba" Huffman; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends whom he cherished deeply.
