Willie Omar Vann

Willie Omar Vann was born September the 11th 1977 at Beebe Hospital in Lewes Delaware. He was the only child born to the union of Dorothy J. Vann and the late Willie L. Vann of Milton Delaware. On October 9, 2024, he was called home by the Lord while coaching his son's football team. He loved to coach football and thoroughly enjoyed working with all the players and coaches of the Cape Elite Football Team.
In his youth, Omar was a very friendly child and loved playing with all the neighborhood children This led to an easy transition for him when he started elementary school at H.O. Brittingham in Milton, Delaware. Omar had always shown himself to be an open and friendly child who easily made friends which has lasted a lifetime.
Afterwards, he attended Milton Junior High School where he played football and also played little league baseball. He attended Cape Henlopen high school before leaving for a job working in the restaurant industry. He worked at several different food service establishments before trying his hand at construction work. Omar found that this type of work better suited him because he loved being outdoors and working with his hands.
Over the years and while playing football he developed a love for his favorite team the Denver Broncos. He and his late father Willie Vann often enjoyed watching games together and talking about sports. His father was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and they enjoyed comparing their teams' records, trades, draft picks, wins, and losses. He continued his love of the game by sharing his passion with his two sons Jacoby and Drayden. Omar also had a special love and affection for his three daughters Adrianna Vann, Tamara Vann, and Zabriya Vann.
Omar was preceded in death by his father Willie L. Vann.
He leaves to mourn, his Mother Dorothy J Vann; his children, Adrianna J. Vann, Tamara S. Vann, Zabriya Vann, Jacoby L. Vann, and Drayden O. Vann; one nephew, Gunner Glasco; and a special friend, Allison A. Thomas. He will be sorely missed as he leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, life-long friends, and members of the Cape Elite Football Team.
