WILLIE THOMAS "TOM" WISEMAN, age79, of
Lewisburg, Tenn., departed this life on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at Vanderbilt Tullahoma-Harton Hospital sucummbing to many years of heart problems. Mr. Wiseman was born in Winchester, Tenn., on May 5, 1944, to the late Thomas Marion Wiseman and Willie Alma Wilhoite Wiseman. He was a member of the Shiloh Outreach Church in the Wheel Community of Bedford County, Tenn. He was employed for approximately 25 years as an Instrument Technician at A.E.D.C. He was the Chief Stewart for the Instrument Technicians with the IBEW Local 2113. Mr. Wiseman was a member of the Decherd Masonic Lodge #567 and Scottish Rite. He was a member for several years of the Tullahoma Lions Club. Growing up in Cowan, Tenn. Mr. Wiseman was a "train" enthusiast. He loved everything about them. He was also an avid fisherman.
The family received this from Jeff Pennington that they want to share with everyone. "A message that came over my phone saying that a dear friend, Tom Wiseman, had just passed away. "Willie" was our engineer and the engineer at several other radio stations for decades. What an incredible wealth of knowledge he possessed. Over the past 42 years we worked together, I can't tell you how many times when we would have a problem and he would give me a call. "Jeff, what do you see? Jeff, what do you hear?" I would give Willie the symptoms. On many occasions, he would talk me to the solution and, if needed, he would show up with his huge toolboxes and get to work. He knew the equipment inside and out and knew where to tap, where to look and where to begin. The first time I met Willie, his son Christopher Wiseman was all of seven years old, always by his daddy's side and, most importantly, was always LEARNING. On several occasions, when Willie was sick, Chris would call me about a problem we were having and asked those familiar questions, "Jeff, what do you see? Jeff, what do you hear?" Just like his father, Chris would talk me toward the solution. What an incredible life was experienced by Tom Wiseman, with work at countless radio stations, with work at AEDC, and with work on his beloved railroad. We will miss that toothy smile, his "hama, hama, HAMAs!" AND so much more. We will always have the fun memories he gave us. "Tom" Willie Wiseman, thank you for being my friend. Enjoy the joy unspeakable and full of glory with your brand-new pain-free body, mind and spirit. Hama, hama, HAMA! "
He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather that would do anything for anyone.
