Mrs. Wilma Eubanks Beard, 88, of Burnettown, SC, wife of the late Fred DeMaris Beard, entered into rest on Friday, November 8, 2024.
A lifelong resident of Burnettown, SC, she was a daughter of the late Wilburn N. and Eva Lott Eubanks. She was formerly a Human Resources Secretary with Bath Mill for thirty-one years and later served as Director of the Aiken Office of the South Carolina Blind Association.
Wilma was a member of the Langley First Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, daughter, and sister with a servant's heart. She helped to organize the Christmas parties that local mills host each year and was active in the Valley Empty Stocking Fund.
She loved the Lord and was always willing to share her faith and testimony with others. Wilma will be missed by all you knew and loved her.
Wilma is survived by her brother, Steve Eubanks, and his wife, Deborah; a special niece and her husband, Diane "DeeDee" and David Atkinson; niece Lynn Snipes; nephews and their spouses, Raphael and Lisa Eubanks and Tim and Wendy Snipes; a special great-niece and her husband, DeShea and Ryan Key; and special friends Susan and Larry Latta. She was also preceded in death by siblings Evelyn Eubanks, Lester Eubanks, and Jerry Eubanks.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 11 o'clock in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville, SC. Pastor Gareth Hegler will officiate. The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home.
