Jean Herrin Bost, 86, of Concord, went home to be with her savior Tuesday, December 19, 2023, in Concord North Carolina.
Jean was born January 23, 1937, in North Carolina to the late Millard Monroe Herrin and the late Clara Herrin.
She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Arnold Bost, sisters, Pauline Hatley, Rachel Hinson, Ramelle McLester, and Sue Honeycutt, brother, Vernon Herrin , grandson, Douglas Bost
Jean worked in direct sales and retail for many years, which she thoroughly enjoyed. She also was the founder of Pitts Volunteer Fire Department in concord. In her free time, she would be found spending time with her grandchildren watching them play, picking them up from school, and simply enjoying their company. Her faith and devotion to God never wavered and serving in the house of the Lord brought her much joy. Jean loved dogs and often spoke of desiring a dog farm to raise and take care of them. Jean would be remembered for always looking great, her sense of style and the love she had for family. She will surely be missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, Friday, December 22, 2023, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Friday at 11:00 am at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord officiated by Pastor David Wilson. The burial will follow at the Oakwood Cemetery at 471 Church Street, Concord.
Survivors include sons, Landon (Tammy) Bost, Danny Bost, granddaughters, Lanie Bost, Lexie Bost, Samantha Summer St. Claire Locklear-Bost, grandsons, Samuel Levi Arnold Locklear-Bost, and Jordan Lee.
