Wilma Jane (Hyman) Curry (93), widow of Flavious Earl Curry, entered her heavenly home on September 18, 2025. She was born in Morrison, Illinois, on March 14, 1932, to Nellie Marie (Cooper) Hyman and George William Hyman. She graduated from Galesburg (IL) Senior High School in 1950 and married her high school sweetheart, Flavious Earl Curry, on July 4, 1951. She was a long-time member of Bethany Baptist Church in Galesburg. They moved to Greenville, S.C., in 1974. She was a manager at Compac Self Storage before moving into Southpointe Healthcare in May of 2022 and was a member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church.
Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother Willis Hyman. She is survived by a sister, Barbara Hilman of Galesburg, IL, a son, Michael Curry, and 2 daughters: Jacqueline (Curry) Riddle (Keith) and Rebecca (Curry) Coley (Jim), all of Greenville.
8 grandchildren: Erin (Riddle) Eubanks, Mandy, Jason, and Devin Riddle; Kelly and Scott Curry; Jeremy Jones and Shawn (Michele) Coley.
17 great grandchildren: Brent and Megan Mason, Zena Eubanks, Kaitlyn and Kelcie Riddle, Alyssa, Shaina and Haleigh Gunter, Scarlett and Iris Curry, Elijah and Avaleah Jones, Casey and Nicholas Coley, Noah and Kiana Riddle, Jena (Josh) Hough.
10 great great grandchildren: Arion, Kynsleigh, Kameron, and Andrez Mason, Aiden Mata, Elijah McElrath, Rosalie Collins, Thompson, Easton Hough, and Isabella Deaver.

A celebration of life for Wilma and Earl Curry will be held at Washington Avenue Baptist Church at 200 N. Washington Ave, Greenville, SC 29611, on Saturday, September 27, 2025. Visitation at the church from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, and service following at 2:00 PM.
