Wilma Jean Lilly

Wilma Jean Pierson Lilly passed away at her home in Sharpsburg, Ga on the morning of Thursday, November 3, 2022. Born on December 31, 1946, in Troy, New York, she was the youngest of three children born to Stewart and Elizabeth Pierson. Wilma is preceded in death by her parents, both of her siblings, Liz and Stewart Jr., and her ex-husband, French Weldon. She leaves behind her three sons, Wade, Clinton, and Charles Weldon and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, all of whom will miss her sweet soul dearly.
Wilma was a graduate of Andrew Jackson Senior High and studied cosmetology at Florida Beauty College. She also worked in recreational services in the US Navy and was a greeter at Belcourt Castle in Newport, Rhode Island. Wilma was devoted to God and her family and loved seeing the beauty in life; she particularly loved the beach and ocean, animals, and nature. She had a passion for growing plants and flowers and made the world a more beautiful place through her care. She touched everyone she met with her kind but vivacious personality and encouraged others to notice and appreciate the smaller things around them. She lived every moment to its fullest, sharing along the way her zest for life and kindness for others. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, but her legacy will continue to inspire those she left behind.
A celebration of life will occur on Thursday, November 10, 2022, with friends and family.
