Spencerport: Wilma June Chittley Marshall went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 26th, 2025. She was 99½ years old.

Wilma was born in Buffalo, New York on March 27, 1926. She was the daughter of Pearl Augusta (Dolan) and Eugene Edward Chittley. She was the sister of Vernon Chittley (Janice) and Dorothy Cooper, who preceded her in death.

She was the beloved wife of Franklin S. Marshall for 40 years. He preceded her in death in 1990.

She is survived by her daughters: Bonnie Caton (Scott) of Spencerport and Holly Wismer (Michael) of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Her grandchildren: Emily Volpe (Andrew), Elizabeth Caton, Brooke Caton, Catherine Caton, Gillian Wismer, Victoria Caton, Alexander Caton, and Hannah Wismer.

And her great grandchildren: Antonette Volpe, and Valentina Volpe.

Wilma followed Christ all of her life. She loved daily Bible devotionals and nightly prayers, and in her last days, even when it was hard for her to speak, she was still reciting Psalm 23.

Wilma's commitment to live in faith and obedience was a powerful example, especially to her children and grandchildren. At 90, she was baptized because she wanted "to obey His first command."

Wilma found great joy in the ordinary gifts of life: family, the flowers on Bonnie's porch, the old hymns, birthday cake, and lemon meringue pie!

She accepted the limits of old age with grace and endured its trials with quiet strength and a smile. She was a wonderful listener, always interested in the details of your story or your needs.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 4th at 10:00 am at Spencerport Wesleyan Church, 2653 Nichols St, Spencerport, NY 14559. Burial will follow at Cold Spring Cemetery, Lockport NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Wilma's memory can be sent to: Stephen Ministry. Grace Church at Willow Valley, 300 Willow Valley Square Lancaster, PA 17602. 717.464.2782
